About Knowlton Law Group

The basic and most important strategy in achieving enforceable legal outcomes for clients, is listening.

KLG was founded in 2011 by Kate Knowlton, to offer personalized, zealous, and compassionate legal service.  We are motivated to provide meaningful and effective advocacy for survivors of harm, and individuals and families struggling with difficult transitions.

PRACTICE AREAS

Civil Rights/Victim Rights: If you have been harmed at the hands of someone else, we want to help.

Civil Rights/Victim Rights: If you have been harmed at the hands of someone else, we want to help.

Civil Rights/Victim Rights: If you have been harmed at the hands of someone else, we want to help.

Wisconsin victim rights are strong; codified in the state statutes as well as the Wisconsin Constitution.  There are also federal statutes and regulations that can offer protection and redress.  We have experience and practice in all of these areas. There can be accountability and your voice matters.

Whether you want information and/or assistance with a criminal or civil process, we want you to understand all of your choices and rights so that you can participate, or not, in whatever way you choose.  Surviving has already demonstrated your strength.  Using your voice and protecting your privacy are not mutually exclusive.  We are here to support you. We work to make sure you know and can be confident about any and all ways you may feel some recovery and healing.

Family Law: Every family, just as every person, is unique.

Civil Rights/Victim Rights: If you have been harmed at the hands of someone else, we want to help.

Civil Rights/Victim Rights: If you have been harmed at the hands of someone else, we want to help.

The law is necessarily limited and cumbersome.  Statutes and standards are made for ease of definition, calculation and decision-making. This is hugely beneficial in the administration and predictability of law.  But it is often powerless and frustrating for actual problem-solving the day-to-day reality of family life.

There are many options both inside and outside of Court, that can assist in establishing peaceful, safe, enforceable agreements that are as unique as your own family.  It is only with the confidence that you have been heard, that your situation is understood by the legal professionals working  with you and on your behalf, that the most effective options can be used to secure an enforceable legal order that reflects what your family needs to get to your next best place.
